HR Services is critical to the overall effectiveness of the HR experience across Microsoft. HR Services brings the HR support model and experience to the scale of the global Microsoft employee population by providing the platform for end-to-end operational services and employee experiences with responsibilities spanning employee self-service, assisted support, and employee relations. HR Services is responsible for the operational delivery across a broad range of employee life-cycle experiences such as onboarding, performance and development rewards, talent movement and offboarding. As the catalyst for HR digital transformation, HR Services is also leading the Human Capital Management solution strategy with the global launch of our new HR Core Solution. HR Services holds the key accountability for HR privacy, risk, and compliance.

In this role, you are a highly visible contributor within HR, working with a variety of people and teams. The HR Business Process Manager is an integral member of the HR Services organization and plays a key role in the delivery of high-quality HR Programs to business leaders, managers, and employees, as well as to the HR Community. This role will be responsible for working with HR Services and CoE programs to develop, design, implement and ensure the management of regional processes and solutions.

This role requires a problem-solving, programmatic approach to drive consistency in processes & services aligned to Functional/Local policies to exceed performance expectations. Translating programs into a delivery solution requires a mixture of scalable delivery management models working collaboratively across geographies and functions and use of metrics and voice of the customer framework to identify trends and improvement opportunity areas.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge Management - You ensure up-to-date documentation of processes, desk-top procedures, and knowledge-based content by leading/driving reviews of the documentation, and make adjustments in a timely manner.

  • "Push Left" (Adoption of tools/platforms) - You contribute to the adoption of Human Resources shared services, platforms, and tools for a service line or region; you drive operational process alignment that optimizes and operationalizes end-to-end service delivery model; you understand critical limitations and insights on whether and how to transition work from HR roles to Service Center teams; you learn and come up with strategic approaches to drive the adoption of the end-to-end service delivery model.

  • Address inquiries and perform transactions - You contribute to the processes and practices of monitoring and addressing inquiries and performing transactions; you partner with peer disciplines (e.g., HR Consulting, Finance, Procurement, Engineering) to independently address escalated cases or exceptions for a service line or an assigned region; you answer questions from team members related to handling inquiries and transactions in a specialty area.

  • Change Implementation related to Program Support - You participate in making decisions with peer disciplines and partners on prioritization of when changes will be implemented across multiple customer support systems; you drive changes by collecting feedback on employee experience; you assess risks and present mitigation plans to ensure minimal employee experience disruption; you independently respond to complex internal and/or external partner issues and influence the decision making on program deliverables.

  • Process Design/Adaptation - You own/manage the design and implementation of a new, large, or complex process by defining action plans; you conduct analyses and collect feedback for large or complex processes/procedures; you design new processes or procedures in a specialty area.

  • Process Improvement -You conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions to process failings and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes by identifying action plans; you implement solutions to exceed key performance indicator (KPI) targets and drive process improvement and future investment to drive efficiency and improved employee experience.

  • Employee Data Management related to Program Support - You lead efforts in the design and integration of processes and systems for employee data changes across multiple Human Resources program implementation phases; you provide advice and guidance to team members on data utilization; you lead innovation of how data relationships and rules are administered with an end-to-end view of the data flow throughout the employee lifecycle; you interpret data and draw inferences; you use data insights to drive changes.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Operations, Compliance, Human Resources, Engineering or related field, OR 5+ years of experience in Operations, Compliance, Human Resources, Engineering or related field with Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field

Additional or preferred qualificaations:

  • 2+ years’ experience applying process improvement methodologies.
