Job Description

Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Leads the operational aspects of Submarine Fleet Support program material management for projects and serves as liaison between program management and supply chain procurement. Reviews status of project schedules and budgets; prepares and manages, material reports. Assesses project risk and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops and maintains near and long terms goals.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience. Master's Degree and 4 years of experience. 4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree. 8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

Preferred Qualifications

• Assess risk and identify mitigation plans • Prior contracting experience in DOD and/or DOE environment• Demonstrated track record of continuous improvement implementation• Ability to quickly obtain and analyze data for reporting purposes to all levels• Consolidate and coordinate performance metrics • Proficient in MS Excel, Access and SAP • Proven leadership behaviors• Highly organized• Skilled in conflict resolution• Effective at working projects with short turnaround deadlines• Strong, professional communication skills• Understanding of NNS supply chain processes and material cost and expediting heroics.
