The Director of Business Management for Worldwide Marketing & Operations (WWM&O) is responsible for the organizational rhythm of connection, budgeting and financial planning, and all compliance, governance, and communications initiatives. Bringing broad and deep business acumen, sound decision-making and operational excellence to bear is essential in this role. The Worldwide Marketing & Operations (WWM&O) group enables the field to help customers transform and drive cloud growth for Microsoft. This group seeks to provide growth for Microsoft and deliver value for our consumer and commercial customers by building, growing, supporting, and inspiring the world's best cloud sales force.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the development, scoping, and landing of fiscal year organizational priorities (aka Big Rocks) within the organization

  • Oversee the WWM&O rhythm of connection (RoC) including all-hands meetings, leadership team meetings and offsites, other team events, etc.

  • Lead the WWM&O business manager and EA communities; provide predictable and intentional direction to ensure initiatives and key rhythms land consistently across all teams

  • Organizational communications: create sustained, pervasive connections and conversations across our organization to deliver better employee experience and organizational performance; includes prioritized cultural workstreams, Teams platform infrastructure, etc.

  • Executive communications: create customized communications for the WWM&O CVP including Executive presentations, Microsoft Ready keynotes, etc.

  • Ensure high-quality execution against all financial management, compliance, governance, and workplace initiatives, in collaboration with Finance, Procurement, CELA, Real Estate & Security, and Human Resource business partners

  • Active participation as the member of the One Commercial Accessibility (OCAP) Leadership team

  • Participate in special cross-M&O and cross-Global Sales Marketing & Operations (GSMO) projects, partnering across segments, marketing groups, and other field/HQ teams as required

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in program management, business management, and/or business operations

  • Experience navigating field and/or corporate organizations at all levels

  • Systems thinker, able to manage a high degree of complexity and distill information into simple messages

  • Exceptional cross-organizational capabilities; ability to partner with senior management, drive complex projects with quality, speed and agility, build comprehensive and compelling presentation and communication materials that caters to various audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills including ability to build trust, influence, and relationships with diverse team members, proven track record of ability to impact and influence without direct authority

  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to balance varying responsibilities that span rhythm of business, communications, executive management, and culture

  • Highest levels of integrity and trustworthiness; manages confidentiality without exception
