Job Description
The selected candidate for this position will be responsible for ensuring all assigned personnel are proficient in their specific trade and read technical drawings and manuals with new installations and programmable logics controllers. The candidate will be tasked with reviewing all SCD Work Books and installation drawings for Aircraft and Weapons Elevators to ensure all work being performed is covered or imperfections have been captured to minimize an impact on production, during RCOH.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Master understanding of production and processes. Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work direction to others. May provide direction and lead others. May manage one or more multiple jobs. Completes comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools. Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks. Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports. Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. May perform quality inspections on finished product. Performs duties outside of specialty in order to complete installation or work assignment.
Minimum Qualifications
High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience. Prefer technical/professional certifications. Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
Must have military/ installation background
Experience with training/supervising others while manage multiple jobs required.
Apply comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments and projects.
Must have experience with SCD 2448 Aircraft Elevator Control System Programmable Logic Control Upgrade on all four Aircraft Elevators on Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers during RCOH.
Have experience with SCD 3993, Weapons Elevator Programmable Logic Control (PLC), and SCD 4008 Weapons Elevator Trunk Proximity Switch Replacement Increment 3, on Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers during RCOH.
Experience with electrical/ coax / fiber connectors required.
Must be US Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain Confidential security clearance.
