An experienced consulting professional who has an understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs within a product/technology family. Operates independently to provide quality work products to an engagement. Performs varied and complex duties and tasks that need independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs. Applies Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.

Develops and configures detailed solutions for moderately complex projects.

5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including 2 years consulting experience preferred. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

Oracle’s Public Sector Consulting Practice seeks to add an experienced and dynamic Principal Technical Consultant to its team. At this stage in PSCR’s product lifecycle, the work environment will evolve rapidly and present tremendous opportunity for professional growth and development.

The Principal Technical Consultant performs varied and complex duties while implementing PSCR as part of an integrated business solution. Responsibilities include data conversions, system integrations, reports and other system configuration tasks as needed. Must exercise independent judgment while combining industry best practices, product knowledge and business acumen.

The ideal candidate delivers solutions consistently resulting in exceptional customer experience while leveraging various Oracle technologies. Performs duties within constraints of time, budget and security compliance. Communicates effectively, both internally and externally, takes direction and may lead project-wide aspects of technical solution design and implementation. Teamwork, collaboration, creativity, problem solving, transparency and personal responsibility are required traits for a candidate on this team.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years experience implementing technical solutions such as system integrations, business process automations, reports and data migrations for enterprise software systems

  • 4 years overall experience with Oracle Database or SQL Server - minimum 1 year each

  • 2 years experience with Public Sector customers

  • 2 years experience with Oracle BI Publisher and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence

  • 2 years experience delivering solutions with Oracle Integration Cloud

  • Proficiency with REST web services

  • Proficiency with Python

  • Data Conversion/Migration Analysis and Development

  • System Integration Analysis and Development

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of overall experience relevant to position, including 2 years of consulting experience

  • Experience implementing Fusion Cloud applications

  • Proficiency with PL/SQL and Transact-SQL

Travel

  • Willing to travel approximately 50% (future)

  • Currently, there is no travel for this role. Oracle has halted all business travel until further notice due to Covid-19.
