Position Summary

The Data Analysis and Simulation Professional 1 will support the development of automation, data visualization, and other innovative software solutions for Customer Service Managed Logistics Americas (CS ML AM). The successful candidate for this role will apply their technical skills to automate routine cognitive tasks and solve complex business problems using a wide variety of datasets generated by CS ML AM. In this critical role, you will join the Operational Intelligence (OI) team and help identify opportunities to integrate analytics into supply chain operations at both the tactical and strategic level. You will be expected to explore the vast amounts of data available to you and create data model solutions that will enable advanced analysis. These data models will also be the primary source data for front end applications such as dashboards and automated tools for business users. Although data modeling is a key element in this position, you will have ample opportunity to explore advanced analytics and application development in support of other OI activities.

Core Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in one of the following:

  • Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other Data-focused degree

  • Business Administration, Operations, or Supply Chain with a concentration/minor in a subject from above

  • 0-2 years of professional experience as an Analyst, Data Modeler, Developer, or similar role

  • Capable of taking initiative and ownership of tasks

  • Willingness to learn new technology and analytical methods

  • Thorough understanding of relational database concepts

  • Demonstrated data manipulation experience through software tools or programming

  • Highly skilled in writing SQL queries or a comparable querying language

  • Highly skilled in the analysis of large amounts of disparate data and developing data models that will generate significant value

  • Ability to translate business needs into data models that support long-term solutions

  • Capable of examining/exploring data from multiple disparate sources and documenting data flows, entity relationships, data attributes, etc.

  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills

In Addition to the Core Qualifications, Highly Qualified Candidates will have the Following:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college in one of the following:

  • Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or other Data-focused degree

  • Business Administration, Operations, or Supply Chain with heavy coursework in a subject from above

  • Knowledge of supply chain operations and exposure to SAP data

  • Experience developing automation tools with scripting (e.g., VB, Python, PHP)

  • Experience with Teradata Studio

  • Experience with the SAS suite of tools (e.g., Enterprise Guide, Enterprise Miner, Data Integration Studio, Visual Analytics)

  • Experience with machine learning techniques as applicable to predictive analytics
