PositionOverview
Siemens Advanta Consulting seeks to hire a Senior Consultant within our U.S. Digital Consulting practice who will focus on digital innovation and transformation within the Smart Buildings vertical. Priorities for this role include strategy and offering development, business development and serving in an expert role as part of an engagement delivery team. This position will report to the VP/Partner of Siemens Advanta U.S. Digital Consulting.
The location in the US is flexible with a preference for major US metropolitan areas (e.g. Atlanta, Orlando, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, New York, Boston, San Francisco, Austin, Los Angeles).
Responsibilities
RequiredKnowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
We are looking for candidates with 5 – 8 years of experience and expertise in the building automation and controls industry driving and implementing digital innovation and transformation. This includes business strategy, process/operational design and frameworks for enabling the future of the industry.
Basic Qualifications:
A proficient understanding of the infrastructure vertical, commercialreal estate, building sciences, MEP Consulting (mechanical, electrical,plumbing), or facilities management
Experience in supporting consulting offering development, business developmentand delivering client engagements related to digital innovation andtransformation
An understanding of the building systems topography or SCADA systems
Experience writing or responding to large project RFP/RFQs for digitaltransformation
Basic financial analysis and cost model knowledge for developing ROImodels
Basic understanding of systems of systems approach
A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, orcomparable engineering degree
PreferredQualifications
Prior experience at a top management consulting firm
An MBA from a leading university
Other Requirements:
This individual will have strong written, communication and interpersonal skills; strong conceptual, problem solving and analytical skills; have an inclusive and collaborative style; and have an impact/implementation orientation and can-do mindset. This individual will demonstrate the vision, business acumen and credibility required to consult senior clients on a peer-to-peer level.
This role requires considerable travel – domestic and periodically international.
